Helios Garcerá, a surfer with a lot to teach in Valencia
We were really looking forward to you hearing this new story. After talking about Ana Chamorro and her passion for music and water sports or about our Rodrigo Pla and his beginnings to create our brand, today our bodies were asking for a little surf in our veins .
That's why we spent a little time chatting with Helios Garcerá , a surfer for over 15 years who shares his passion by teaching the little ones to catch his waves. And yes, just like our entire #STOHKTAMAZING family, Helios also LOVES SHARING HIS LIFESTYLE WITH OTHERS IN AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT.

Helios Garcerá, a surfer with a lot to teach in Valencia
Q: What do you do?
I work at the Xsa surf school in Port Saplaya and I'm preparing for the exams to become a Physical Education teacher. I've been surfing for about 15 years around the Mediterranean , travelling a lot and always looking for the best waves.
Q: How do you define your lifestyle?
My lifestyle is basically not to leave for tomorrow what you can do today, always enjoy the moment, be happy and always contribute your grain of sand to what others do.

Q: What do you want to convey with your lifestyle and school ?
I want to transmit the happiness that I get from being in the water, in the sea and disconnecting. What I want for all those people who may have their problems in their daily lives or for the kids who come with us, is to instil in them some values and for them to be able to enjoy that happiness that I feel when I am in the water.
Q: What sets you apart from the rest?
I think it's the desire I put into it, surfing is something I'm very passionate about and being able to transmit that to others, especially children, is something I love.
Q: Tell us a story about your beginnings.
I remember one time when I went to Portugal when I was 22. There were some pretty big, perfect waves. I remember that I was very motivated and said, 'Let's go in, this is really cool.' As I went in, the wave got bigger and bigger. But I wanted to prove it, so I went for it. The first wave caught me, I fell from the top into the tube, the board was in half and I almost drowned. You have to be careful where you go and always be careful because surfing is very dangerous.

Q: What would you say to all those who love to share their lifestyle with others?
For all those people who are starting out in surfing, for example, I can tell you that it is a spectacular sport, that you will meet great people, that it is a time to disconnect and that it is the best thing that can happen to you to improve your quality of life and create healthy habits.
